Employee of the Month for January

Paul Jett

Most schools have an entire maintenance team. We have a Mr. Jett.

Paul does not get the recognition that he deserves. What some of us may not realize is that Paul is a 12-month employee. While we are off enjoying our summer breaks and vacations, he is usually here working his tail off, getting things ready for us to return to. Whether it's a new paint job, a classroom change, or even just replacing light bulbs, Paul is always here to fix whatever gets broken during an unusual school day. From patching holes to fixing broken doors and windows, he completes the task with no complaints.

Paul is also the one that comes in on most snow days to get the parking lot cleaned and ready for the rest of us to arrive. He always greets us with an enthusiastic "Good morning" or "Hello." On most days, he is one of the first people to arrive and one of the last to leave. He has a good relationship with most (if not all) of the students. He has been seen showing a student how to do something and explain why it is done that way with patience and the skill of a seasoned classroom teacher.

It is easy to go on about the work and time that Paul puts in, not only during the school day but for special events hosted by the Oberle Academy such as the golf tournament and the Gala, just to name a few.

This is why Paul Jett is deserving and has been selected as Employee of the Month for January.
